Problem
Client lost temporary restraining order brought by national distributor and moved into expedited discovery in support of Preliminary Injunction motion. The client was concerned that outside fees—an AmLaw 50 Firm—would exceed the potential liability.
Solution
Client engaged Axiom to unbundle aspects of expedited discovery—22 depositions and associated direct/cross at PI hearing. Two Axiom Attorneys worked onsite at lead counsel offices, taking direction from the firm’s lead partner. A coordination process was put in place to ensure effective management and communication between the client’s head of Litigation, lead counsel, and Axiom.
