Unbundle Complex Matters
Unbundling material components of exceptional matters tends to make sense only when the matter is large enough and the spend high enough to justify the effort. Working with multiple providers introduces incremental complexity so (1) the payoff needs to be clear and (2) the working group structure must be thoughtfully and explicitly articulated. But when unbundling makes sense, it can deliver significant value, certainty and peace of mind to clients.
